Here are sessions featuring CADWorx & Analysis Solutions:
2104 - Understanding PV Elite for Pressure Vessels Design
PV Elite is globally recognized in the pressure vessel industry, and the software’s graphical representation helps ensure correctness in input and results. In this session, learn how this user-friendly software contains a database of materials properties and performs calculations by using international design codes for pressure parts and non-pressure parts, including wind and seismic codes. Attendees will also discover how PV Elite utilizes CodeCalc for efficient component design and evaluation that can be used for design and re-rating of existing equipment.

Wednesday, June 14, 11:00 AM - 11:45 AM – Marco Polo - 804-806
2117 - Increasing Structural Modeling Productivity and Design Quality with CADWorx Structure
Launched in October 2016, CADWorx Structure is the newest addition to the Intergraph CADWorx & Analysis Solutionssuite. Developed with structural-focused end users in mind, the software includes intuitive tools needed to create high-quality, revenue-driven structure models easily and quickly. This session will introduce the product and provide attendees with the know-how to get started. Join this session to learn about the added value that CADWorx Structure offers over its predecessor, CADWorx Steel, and to see how CADWorx Structure makes structural modelling as easy and productive as pipe modeling is in CADWorx Plant.

Thursday, June 15, 3:30 PM - 4:15 PM – Marco Polo - 804-806
2115 - Modelling of Slug Flow in CAESAR II: WorleyParsons Comparison Between Equivalent Static and Dynamic Analysis Approaches
Slug flow is a liquid gas two-phase flow in which the gas phase exists as large bubbles separated by liquid slugs. Slug flow is commonly encountered in well flowlines in the offshore oil and gas industry. This type of flow can cause dangerous vibrations and fatigue failure of pipe and fittings. Dynamic time history analysis was carried out for four production lines in the Al Shaheen oil platform by WorleyParsons in the Doha office. The aim of this study is to compare the results of the dynamic analysis with the equivalent static analysis to establish a more appropriate value of dynamic load factor for the analysis of future flowlines. The influence of damping ratio and friction stiffness factor (a control parameter used in CAESAR II) on the dynamic analysis results will also be reviewed.

Thursday, June 15, 4:00 PM - 4:30 PM – Marco Polo - 801-803
2116 - Meeting Design Challenges in the Food, Pharma, & Semiconductor Industries with CADWorx Plant
Did you know that CADWorx succeeds in other industries outside of oil and gas? The pharmaceutical, food and beverage, water treatment, and semiconductor industries also benefit from this software. The pressure of maintaining safe, high-quality products while reducing processing and manufacturing costs is ever-present. In this session, attendees will see how new enhancements - specifically the new End Type functionality introduced in CADWorx 2017 - enable the end-user to address sanitary and hygienic design requirements for these industries.

2610 - GT STRUDL for Structural Analysis: Increased Productivity, NRC Quality and Round-tripping for Intergraph Smart 3D
Today's structural engineering department may not look significantly different than that of 30 years ago. The engineering staff is often left out of the modern collaborative workflow, working blindly in their silo of material properties, stress, strain, and code checks. Structural engineers may be duplicating work by performing hand calculations to validate the results of "black box" analysis software that they don't trust. For complex projects involving modular construction or staged construction techniques, they spend more time performing bookkeeping exercises than performing actual engineering tasks. Attendees will learn why companies are changing the status quo in their engineering work processes and discovering safer, more efficient designs, better coordinated projects, fewer construction change orders, and happier clients. This presentation will spotlight what technology can do to open the flow of information between engineering and design and also how users can control that information flow.
