Michael recently joined Intergraph CAS with over 30 years’ experience in the process industries, covering multiple aspects of design, engineering and construction. He has also had experience working within the Autodesk channel. Recently, as director of virtual design and construction at Harder Mechanical Construction, he oversaw the implementation and use of engineering design tools such as CADWorx on a $4 billion US-based semiconductor plant.

The highly anticipated CADWorx 2014 Plant Professional release is almost here.

In this webinar we will cover some of the new ISOGEN interface functionality that will be available in CADWorx 2014 Plant Professional. If you have worked with User Shape components before and have generated associated Isometric deliverables, you will probably be familiar with the current default ISOGEN MULTI-PORT-COMPONENT Identifier.

In this next version of CADWorx Plant Professional, we will be adding some new ISOGEN Identifiers for CADWorx Plant Professional User Shapes.

In this webinar, we will review some examples of these newly supported User Shape ISOGEN Identifiers and how you can easi configure them to represent complex component geometries and more visually representative isometrics.

Loren Brown graduated from the State University of New York at Buffalo in 1986 where he earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Aerospace Engineering.  He then began his career with Rockwell International’s Rocketdyne Division (Currently Pratt & Whitney) where he worked on the X-30 National Aerospace Plane, Space Shuttle Main Engines, Delta and Atlas rocket programs, among others.  He worked in thermal analysis, rocket engine performance analysis, and orbital mechanics during the first 10 years of his career.  Mr. Brown joined Intergraph CADWorx and Analysis Solutions (former COADE) in 1997 and has been a part of CAESAR II development from that time to the present. He is Director of Technical Support and Quality Assurance at Intergraph CAS and is currently involved in Commercial Grade Dedication of CAESAR II for Nuclear Certification.

In this presentation, Paulin Research Group (PRG) will show how FEA-based technology and correlation methods can be used with beam model-based pipe stress programs to improve analysis results.  The focus will be on how the user can better identify when the use of FEA-based tools is appropriate, and examples will be provided that show the impact of FEA analysis on loads, displacements, and stresses for specific piping configurrations.
