Sometimes you are unsure of the need for a restraint in your model. You may wish to review results both with, and without, that support. Here’s a quick and simple way to temporarily remove an existing support in your CAESAR II model:
Specify stiffness as 0 for that restraint and reanalyze the model. That simple! The results will show no load on the “restraint” and you still have the placeholder in the input if wish to “reactivate” that support.
