CAU2012 Drivers of Success Competition has now concluded and we are happy to announce our winners in the Intergraph CADWorx Plant, CAESAR II, and PV Elite categories. These winners are awarded with paid conference fees for one representative, plus paid hotel accommodation and travel to/from their cities.
And the winners are:
CADWorx Plant Design: FLSmidth
In this project FLSmidth was tasked to supply a large $100m, 40,000 tonnes per day greenfield copper concentrator facility for a mine in Mongolia. Using Intergraph CADWorx Plant Professional FLSmidth developed piping plans and sections, ISOGEN isometrics, and used the program’s live project database to create materials lists that automatically attached unique part numbers directly from the piping specifications.
CAESAR II: Mott MacDonald
In this project Mott MacDonald worked on a PNG LNG project that included gas production and gas transfer through a 700km pipeline. The scope of work involved the use of Intergraph CAESAR II to analyze above ground and buried pipelines across varied terrain and occasional fault lines and through multiple substations. CAESAR II statics modules, dynamics module (used for seismic analysis), buried soil modeler, and ISOGEN isometrics were heavily used.
PV Elite: L&T Chiyoda Limited
L&T Chiyoda Limited, a joint venture between Larsen Toubro, India and Chiyoda, Japan, used Intergraph PV Elite for vessel design for a large and complex pressure vessel in a Petrochemicals complex project. The vessel weighed 1000 tonne, was 82m in length, 9.6m in diameter, and was fabricated in one piece. ASME Code calculations were created easily and quickly for MDMT, Nozzles, External Pressure, Hydrostatic testing, MAWP, MAP, Flanges etc.
