In April COADE is to release COADE PV FabricatorTM - a new product for the automated production of design and fabrication deliverables for pressure vessels and heat exchangers. The package leverages the bidirectional links that currently exists between COADE PV Elite - for pressure vessel and heat exchanger design and analysis and COADE CADWorx Equipment- for parametric equipment modeling.
Examples of the deliverables that will automatically be generated by PV Fabricator include 2D layout and detail drawings, BOM tables, nozzle schedules, weld details, title block, nameplate and notes plus any other annotation that may be needed.
PV Fabricator comes with powerful parametric modeling capabilities that allow for speedy and accurate development of fully editable 3D models of pressure vessels and heat exchangers. From here designers can develop complete fabrication deliverables of their pressure vessels and exchangers by using the in-built tools that have been designed to automate the detail production process. These tools allow fabrication deliverables to be produced much quicker and more accurately than conventional methods of drawing.
But it is when PV Fabricator is linked to PV Elite that the benefits of engineering and design integration really begin to emerge and additional saving are realized as PV Fabricator also has the ability to build an intelligent 3D model from PV Elite output. This removes wasted time and the introduction of mistakes that any duplication of work may be cause.
The benefit of bidirectional links between PV Fabricator and PV Elite links do not stop with the initial creation of these models. Changes from PV Elite or those made to the model are reflected in the fabrication deliverables, but unlike many packages any editing such as hidden line removal, dimensioning etc are retained and adjusted for each effected detail.
Bidirectional links also allow PV Elite analysis data or calculated information to be mapped to any user defined attributed block. When these blocks are placed in the drawing the program will then automatically plug in these values into to the block, ensuring that the most up-to-date and accurate information is always reflected in the drawings.
PV Fabricator will help vessel and exchanger manufactures to produce fabrication drawings quicker and more accurately than they have in the past and allow for improved exchange of information between engineering and design groups.
