CAESAR II passes certification in Russia

 
COADE's CAESAR II Pipe Stress Analysis has obtained the Certificate of Compliance from the Russian State Standard Certification System effective December 17, 2008. EMT-R, COADE's Global Network Partner (CGNP) in Russia assisted the company in the certification process.

This Certification means that CAESAR II conforms to the Russian standards as described in the Russian normative documents of standards of calculations for strength of stationary boilers, vapor and hot water pipelines, calculations for strength and vibration of steel technological conduits and State Standards for vessels and other equipment.

COADE has seen a rapid growth in Russia and other parts of Eastern Europe for CAESAR II and its other software products. The company expects continued growth in Russia and Eastern Europe as the region's economy expands and invests in its plants and infrastructure.

Speaker bio:
Brian Cudd is Sales Engineer, Plant Design Solutions for COADE, Inc which he joined in April of 2007. He is responsible for CADWorx FieldPipe worldwide sales. Brian graduated from San Jacinto College with an Engineering Graphics Design Degree and became a piping designer with 5+ years of experience in the oil and gas industry, specializing in brown field work. The combination of his real world design experience and his in-depth knowledge of COADE's Suite of Plant Design Applications give him the proper background to administer technical presentation and training sessions dealing with full spectrum of Plant design. 

Mr. Joseph J. Lafranca III is the Central US Plant Sales Executive, HDS for Leica Geosystems, Inc. Leica Geosystems develops manufactures and markets advanced hardware and software solutions for digitally measuring and modeling large, complex sites and structures with high accuracy, detail and speed. Previously, Mr. Lafranca was the Gulf Coast Regional Sales Manager for Rebis Industrial Workgroup Software. During his eleven-year tenure he was responsible for the sales and marketing of a facilities design, analysis, procurement, construction, operation and maintenance software application for the piping, process, power and chemical manufacturing industries. As the Central US Plant Sales Executive, HDS, Joe has over twenty years of plant design experience. He has demonstrated successes in developing "C"- level visions and formulating strategies as well as detailed implementation plans. He is an experienced communicator with audiences including customers, channel partners, suppliers, the investment community and employees. Joe holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Louisiana State University, Baton Rouge. Mr. Lafranca and his family reside in League City, Texas. Mr. Lafranca is available as a subject-matter expert on High Definition Laser Scanning in Construction and Process & Power industries.

Sonia Delgadillo joins COADE

COADE announced today that Sonia Delgadillo has joined the company as Senior Applications Specialist for COADE's Plant Design Solutions, with special focus on Latin America, Spain and Portugal. In this position she will provide technical and sales instruction and support for the company’s dealer channel with special responsibility for the COADE CADWorx Plant Design Suite of products.

"Sonia will be a great addition to the COADE team," said Bill Evans COADE's VP Corporate Sales/Operations. "The channel experience she brings with her will help both us and our dealers better serve our global customers," Evans concluded.

Prior to joining COADE, she was Process & Power Specialist for ECAD, Inc., a COADE Global Network Partner and the number one reseller of the CADWorx software suite as well as a leading reseller for Autodesk.  During her five years with ECAD, she provided instruction on CADWorx Plant Professional, CADWorx P&ID Professional and CADWorx fieldPipe.

Her previous experience includes positions with M&H Enterprises, Synergy Group, and ExxonMobil.   She attended the University of Houston and studied computer-aided design (CAD) at Horn Drafting & CAD Center.

ECE Design will discuss how CADWorx PLANT Professional and PLANTMO work together to effectively manage piping supports on a project.

ECE has developed a CADWorx Plant Professional Add-on that specifically addresses piping support management. PLANTMO taps into existing CADWorx features and functions that include adding pipe restraints/supports to 3D piping systems. PLANTMO is used to organize typical piping support details with complete bills of material. Once a pipe support is added in CADWorx, PLANTMO is used to further detail the support by allowing one to specify typical detail drawings and bill of materials complete with pricing. CADWorx PLANT Professional and PLANTMO both integrate seamlessly with a project database and are easy to configure and use. PLANTMO has an Excel exporting and importing feature that enables engineers, managers and administration resources that ability to efficiently and effectively manage data for associated with piping supports.

Bill Vasey is part owner of ECE Design and has been providing CADWorx technical support for users across the United States and Canada for over 7 years. Bill is a Mechanical Engineer and has over 10 years of hands-on CADWorx experience. Helping companies with CADWorx implementation and overall project management is what he does best. His database and CAD application expertise has enabled numerous companies realize the return on investment potential of intelligent P&ID and 3D plant design modeling. Bill has been consulting with companies worldwide and works with people to improve their skills whilst also improving overall company and project performance. Read how IMAGE Custom Engineering Solutions, LLC (IMAGE CES), Field Services division (IMAGE Field Services), based in Houston, Texas, USA, has successfully completed the as-built computer modeling of over 70 of approximately 200 gas compression stations owned by CenterPoint Energy Field Services.

What is most remarkable about this project is the speed, accuracy and ultimate ‘intelligence’ of what was produced.  IMAGE CES completed this first phase in record time using only two onsite engineers to produce fully intelligent 3D plant, piping and equipment models of each site to an accuracy of one-eighth inch.

To achieve this task this task they used CADWorx fieldPipe from COADE Inc.

“To do what we have done in six months would have taken us maybe years to do manually,” explained Don Nuckels, PE, President/CEO of IMAGE CES.
