CADWorx fieldPipe for CloudWorx is a new CADWorx fieldPipe
configuration that allows designers to quickly develop intelligent 3D plant and piping models from point cloud data.
The package does this by enabling the designer to select discrete points from previously captured, or legacy, laser point clouds that are typically used to gather physical plant design data. Once the piping specification is set the selection of these discrete points allows the system to accurately determine the diameter and direction of any pipe run - taking into account any rolls, offsets or falls present.
Once the designer has used CADWorx fieldPipe for CloudWorx to create these intelligent 3D models they can be used to produce design and fabrication deliverables such as: bills of materials, automatic isometrics, spool drawings and 2D drawing output; for example elevations, plans and sections.
